bottom outlets
bottom outlets valves
The Montagnoli Bottom Outlets are used in pipelines for reservoirs, small dams, tanks, clarifiers, among others, with the purpose of discharging under service pressure of up to 10 m.c.a (0.1 MPa). They have a unidirectional operation, and the flow direction occurs when hydraulic pressure forces the cover against the body. The Bottom Outlets can be operated using handwheels or a T-handle directly on the extension rod or through an operating pedestal. They are designed for installation directly in concrete or on flanges. The flange attachment dimensions follow the ANSI 16.5 Class 150 or NBR 7675 PN10 standard.
APPLICATIONS:
The Montagnoli Bottom Outlets are designed for the discharge of reservoirs or to establish communication between their various compartments. They are commonly used for:
- General liquid discharge
- Slurry discharge
- Wastewater treatment
- Similar applications
CONSTRUCTION MATERIALS:
BODY:
By default, the body of the Bottom Outlets is available in:
- Ductile Iron GGG50 (Max +250°C / +482°F)
COVER:
The cover of the bottom outlets is manufactured using:
- Ductile Iron GGG50 (Max +250°C / +482°F)
ACTUATION:
The bottom outlets can be produced with the following actuation systems:
- Manual with Handwheel
- Manual with Gearbox
- Manual with T-handle Actuator
- Hydraulic
- Electric
- Engineered
ACTUADOR ROD:
The actuator rod is manufactured from stainless steel and designed to withstand the operation of the bottom outlet under maximum pressures, ensuring that its slenderness ratio is less than 200.
λ = Le / rmin
L: Slenderness ratio (dimensionless)
Le: Flange length
rmin: Minimum radius of gyration
ACCESSORIES:
- Limit switch, electromechanical with reversible contacts (15A/250V AC)
- Extension rods in AISI 304 / 316
- T-handle actuator head
- Ergonomic handwheel
- Gearbox with a gear reduction ratio of 1:4
- Engineered solutions
